Advanced Engineering Solutions (AES) appoints a new General Manager and Head of Gas Strategy to expand services in gas safety and asset management.
The business welcomes Simon Holden. The appointment of his role will also support our strategy to assess the transition to lower carbon and more sustainable gas networks.
AES, South Staffordshire Plc’s specialist water and gas engineering company, has strengthened its gas engineering division with the new senior appointment.
Simon has operated in strategic and corporate roles within the power, energy, and gas sector for over 25 years and has held several roles where he has been responsible for strategic development and financing of power and alternative energy systems in the UK and Worldwide; bringing additional extensive gas engineering expertise to further strengthen the existing AES team.
Simon Holden, general manager and head of gas strategy said:
‘The gas sector will be undergoing significant changes as the country transitions its energy sector and economy as well as trying to maintain existing supply capabilities. Working at AES at this time therefore gives a unique and exciting chance to build on AES’s existing sector reputation and develop the company in new areas.’
John Carmichael, gas services director, AES added:
‘With Simon’s energy sector experience he will work closely with myself to enhance the strategy for the business, strengthen performance and support AES’s further integration into the wider South Staffordshire Plc Group. I am delighted to welcome him to our Senior Management Team.’
